Epic tapping into the small to midsize market

December 23, 2017

What are your thoughts on my post below on LinkedIn for epic. Time to tap into the critical access and smaller hospital market. My prediction and questions are below:
1 - Will we see a shift in the market share for vendors like MedHost, CPSI, Athenahealth, Allscript?

2 - How can the smaller organization afford the implementation cost? We may see the boutique firms play a bigger role here.

3 - For the bigger systems offering community connect, will that service line continue?

4 - After we are done with this phase of the EMR, the new focus for healthcare enterprise system will be on the ERP and some organizations have already started that journey.
